Uber Sacks 3,500 Workers Via A Zoom Call

It’s interesting to know that the very App, Zoom, which came to help employees to be efficient and work from home as a result of coronavirus pandemic is the same App being used to fire some workers.

Uber has sacked 3,500 of its workers via a Zoom call and this was done by a top Executive officer, Ruffin Chaveleau.

“Today will be your last working day with Uber”. Each employee spends a total of 3 minutes on Zoom call to listen to the bad news.

We are eliminating 3,500 frontline customer support roles. Your role is impacted and today will be your last working day with Uber”, Ruffin Chaveleau said.
