In fact, as it flopped last year, this year’s edition wasn’t exceptional, it flopped big!──and Kwaku Manu who was present confirmed it in the video below.

Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu did not wait for the ceremony to end before making those true and brutal remarks──he made it right inside the National Theatre as the event was ongoing.
According to Kwaku Manu, it’s sad looking at what happened at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards and from the background, it was really a flopped awards ceremony.
Kwaku Manu also made mention of the awards scheme being turned into family and friends by the CEO, Fred Nuamah──meaning most of the awards went to his friends and family in the industry and not those who deserved it.

In conclusion, the Ghana Movie Awards, once a prestigious awards scheme, has become a big JOKE!
