The 64th Grammy Awards Nominations Is Here And Jay-Z Is Now The Most Grammy-Nominated Artist Ever With 83 Nominations

It’s that time of the year again for us all to get into a heated debate over who should have been nominated and who shouldn’t have been in there! Folks, the 64th (2022) Grammy Awards nomination has been announced—and the biggest snub is Beyonce—as she got no nomination in this year’s nominations.

There is a reason Beyonce bagged zero nominations in the 64th Grammy Awards nominations and it’s because she did not release any song or project that qualifies for nominations—and I think that’s a good reason that deserves a big snub.

Beyonce is Beyonce but that doesn’t mean nominations would be thrown at her even if her songs or projects do not qualify to be in there. This is the Grammys, baby!

Beyonce didn’t get a single nomination but there is good news in the Carter family—as Jay-Z is now the most Grammy-nominated artist ever with 83 nominations. You heard me, right? 83 nominations!

The 2022 Grammy Awards will happen on Monday, January 31, in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS.

From Pitch Fork:

“A number of changes have come to pass at the Recording Academy and its handling of the Grammys since the 2021 ceremony. In April, the institution announced an end to its practice of secret-committee nominations in its Big Four categories and established two new awards for Música Urbana Album and Global Music Performance. Over the summer, the Recording Academy updated its book of rules and guidelines to ban sales figures and chart numbers from being mentioned in “For Your Consideration” ads, too. The ceremony is also being produced with an inclusion rider for the first time after expanding its voting pool to include more voters from “traditionally underrepresented groups.”
