Sad news! 49-year-old Ghanaian footballer, Emmanuel Harrison, has died of coronavirus in Italy.
According to Italy’s Oglio Po News, Emmanuel Harrison, who was an amateur footballer was hospitalised for 10 days at the Oglio Po Hospital in Vicomoscano, a town in the northern Italian region of Lombardia after contracting the virus.
It is reported that Emmanuel Harrison who operated a forklift contracted the deadly virus from the machine he shared with another employee, who tested positive for the virus.
Emmanuel Harrison, until his sad demise, played for some amateur teams in Italy including Maffei and others.
Oglio Po News’ report continued that; “Emmanuel worked at the Emiliana Parati in Vicomoscano and had made himself well-liked by everyone, colleagues in the factory, and dressing room companions. His physique, as well as his undoubted skills of a striker, helped him”.
Emmanuel Harrison happens to be the third Ghanaian in Italy and the fifth Ghanaian abroad to have died from the deadly virus.

Head of Sports at Despite Media, Dan Kwaku Yebooah shared the sad news on his Instagram page.
Dan wrote; “Ghanaian amateur footballer, Emmanuel Harrison, has died of coronavirus in Italy.
The 49-year-old passed away on Monday after being hospitalised for 10 days at the Oglio Po Hospital in Vicomoscano, a town in the northern Italian region of Lombardia”.
