While Houston police struggle to fish out the hoodlum that pulled the trigger killing the 28-year-old humble rapper, Takeoff‘s paternal and maternal families are fighting over who gets to enjoy his hard-earned $26 million wealth and estate.
Kirshnik Khari Ball had no kids, additionally, he died without a will so his immediate family gets access to his
wealth and that is where the problem arises. Takeoff’s father Kenneth Ball, and his mother Titania Davenport-Treet have been separated for years. Allegedly, Titania raised Takeoff alone with little or no help from irresponsible Kenneth.
In fact, supposedly, the rapper was prohibited from contacting his father. But once he died, Kenneth Ball came public claiming he had a healthy relationship with the rapper. So the two families are now head to head on who gets the lion’s share of their son’s wealth.

According to reports, Takeoff’s untimely passing last month in Houston has caused a rift between his mother’s side of the family and his father’s side of the family over who will control the rapper’s estate. Takeoff (whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball) died with a net worth of $26 million and no child to inherit his wealth.
Hence, without a will to delegate his assets, Georgia law states that his closest relatives are now in line to obtain his money and assets, including his valuable catalog or residual income from record sales. That means there’s a lot at stake for Takeoff’s mom (Titania Davenport-Treet) and dad (Kenneth M Ball), who do not live together and reportedly don’t get along.
Takeoff is said to have been raised by his mother without the help of his biological father. As of now, information on Kenneth M Ball’s involvement in Takeoff’s upbringing is scarce. The topic is being highly contested by both sides of his family. Nonetheless, shortly after his son’s murder, Kenneth M Ball made the following post on Facebook.
“Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball my first love out of my five kids this is so so hard please keep Titania Davenport (Treet) and me (Kenneth M Ball) and the entire family on both sides in your prayers doing our difficult time. No one know the pain I’m feeling right now BUT with GOD I will find peace.”
Takeoff must be crying in his grave right now. And judging from how peace-loving he was, this fight over his wealth is devastating.
