Rapper Sarkodie has apologized to President Akufo-Addo over his pre-election tweet after he released his ‘Happy Day’ song to endorse the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Sarkodie‘s tweet directed at President Akufo-Addo after the release of his ‘Happy Day’ song reads; “Nana M3nfa bronya ho nre akoko oo lool !! when I say aban ( all parties ) Shouts to yourself x JM but if I feel like pointing out the negatives too you know how we do”.
Speaking with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM today, Sarkodie capitalized on the opportunity and apologized to the President over his tweet.
He said; “I want to use this opportunity to apologize to President @nakufoaddo for the tweet below. I didn’t mean it in a harmful way. I just wanted to make a lighter situation out of the issue.”
This is what happens when you were paid huge for a political song and later tweet at your paymasters cautioning them not to rejoice over your endorsement song.
