Convicted s-x offender R. Kelly‘s former manager Donnel Russell has been sentenced to one year in prison for calling in a shooting threat at the 2018 Manhattan screening of the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.
Donnell Russell was sentenced on Monday after he admitted to the Manhattan federal judge that he did terrible things while he briefly worked as the convicted rapper’s manager.
Russell is yet to serve a 20-month sentence also for trying to suppress s-xual abuse claims while working for R. Kelly.

R. Kelly’s former manager has been sentenced to 1-year in prison for calling in a shooting threat at the premiere of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R. Kelly.
Donnell Russell will serve the sentence concurrently with another 20-month term he was handed for threatening Kelly’s victims. During his sentencing, Russell told the judge he had “made bad judgments” while serving as Kelly’s manager but insisted that he’s “not a horrible person.”
Russell is set to turn himself in early next year as he begins to serve out both sentences concurrently.
Russell says he is not a bad person but his association with R. Kelly made him do bad things. Sounds like a bad person trying to blame others for his bad deeds.
