Nothing brings families together more than death and considering how fatal Takeoff’s death is. Migos now made up of just Offset and Quavo is ready to put their sh-tty wh-re problems aside and revive Migos.
As expected, Migos is coming back! But of course without Takeoff. Takeoff the third brother of the hip-hop group Migos trio was murdered on 1st November when a dice game turn chaotic.
Following the tragic incident, the remaining brothers, Offset and Quavo who were at loggerheads have abated their difference. The bigger news is that, while the two brothers are still grieving, they have hinted at bringing back Migos. And if you are a music lover, you know there’s no better way to grieve than through music.
Migos trio was halted when Quavo accused Offset of sleeping with his then-girlfriend Saweetie. Quavo and Takeoff continued representing the Migos brand while Offset went solo. Quavo watched Takeoff bleed to death after witnessing something as damning as that, I’m sure the first person he ran to was Offset.
Allegedly, Cardi B, Offset’s wife is playing a huge role in bringing back the brothers together.
Via Media Take Out:
Yesterday the world of hip hop lost one of its stars. Takeoff, one third of the hip hop group The Migos, was shot and killed following an argument over a dice game inside a Houston bowling alley.
Before the tragic killing of Takeoff, the Migos trio had reportedly split up – with Quavo and Takeoff continuing on with the Migos brand, and Offset going solo.
Well now Media Take Out has received word that it appears as if Quavo and Offset have patched up whatever differences they had, and are committed to staying close – and possibly reuniting as a Migos duo.
A person close to Quavo explained, “Offset and Quavo are both grieving. They’re family and so the rift they had between them is now over.”
The friend also tells Media Take Out that Offset’s wife, Cardi B is the one who helped bring the cousins back together. She continued, “Cardi is really stepping up, and helping everyone during this troubling time.”
Cardi, also grieving, has been noticeably silent on social media since Takeoff’s killing.
The Migos a hip hop group from Lawrenceville, Georgia, founded in 2008. The group was originally composed of rappers Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. They are managed by Coach K, the former manager of Atlanta-based rappers Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy, and frequently collaborated with producers such as DJ Durel, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, and Buddah Bless. Often recognized for their contribution to trap music in the 2010s, Billboard stated that the group “influenced pop culture and the entire English language by bringing their North (or ‘Nawf’) Atlanta roots to the mainstream”.
Migos released their commercial debut single “Versace” in 2013, taken from their mixtape Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas). They have gone on to release several more singles, including “Fight Night” (2014), “Look at My Dab” (2015), and their four Billboard Hot 100 top 10 entries “Bad and Boujee” (featuring Lil Uzi Vert) (2016), peaking at number one, “MotorSport” (with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B) (2017), peaking at six, “Stir Fry” (2018), peaking at eight, and “Walk It Talk It” (featuring Drake) (2018), peaking at ten.
Migos released their debut album Yung Rich Nation in July 2015, through Quality Control Music and 300 Entertainment. In 2016, the group portrayed fictionalized versions of themselves in the first season of the Donald Glover comedy-drama television series Atlanta. Their second album, Culture, was released in January 2017 also through both record labels, and debuted atop the US Billboard 200 chart. The group later signed a deal with Motown and Capitol Records in February 2017, and followed up the latter album with Culture II in January 2018, giving the group their second number one album in the United States. In 2021, the trio released their long-awaited fourth album Culture III, the third and final installment of their Culture trilogy.
Takeoff died at 28 on Monday, the very day he released the “Messy” music video with his uncle Quavo. Are you ready for the new Migos brand?
