After a back and forth argument as to which political party, NPP and NDC specifically, should occupy the majority side in Parliament despite both sides having 137 seats, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Babgin, has officially declared the NPP as the majority party.

Even though both parties have 137 seats in Parliament but on a basis that the independent Member of Parliament for Fomena constituency, Andrew Asiamah Amoako, officially declaring to join the NPP caucus makes them the majority group in parliament.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, declaring the majority party in parliament said; “I hereby declared the NPP Caucus the majority group in parliament”.

NPP MPs appearing in Parliament today at 4:00 AM has yielded results.
