Melle Mel Says Lil Wayne Does Not Deserve To Be On Billboard's Best Rappers List

Lil Wayne recently made a fuss over being listed as the seventh-best rapper of all time by Billboard, claiming he was more deserving of the top spot.

Well, Melle Mel thinks otherwise. According to Melle, even the No. 7 spot was too generous for him because Lil doesn’t even sing with his own voice.

Melle, who came No. 48 on the list, claims Jay-Z deserves the top spot just like he was awarded, but Lil claiming that he deserves more than he was given is an exaggeration that should not be entertained.

Media Take Out Reports;

Melle Mel says Lil Wayne should not have been ranked so high on Billboard’s 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time List…because he uses autotune.

“How could you know. How?” he said on The Art of Dialogue.

He continued: “If his voice is on autotune, was something wrong with his voice for them to put the autotune on his voice? Or is it just something that they did in the studio to give it that rawness? But how could you know?”

Melle Mel was no. 48 on the list…Lil Wayne was No.7.

Lil Wayne previously reacted to his ranking on the list.

“Man, who the hell is before me? Was the list including ALL Hip Hop, like before and after as well? I can deal with that,” he told Zane Lowe. “I will tell you that I am a muthaf-ckin’ one. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I’m number one. Go ask ’em. They know what it is.”

Sorry, Lil! Gladly, your fans feel otherwise.
