Jackie Appiah Agyemang was born in Canada to Kwabena Appiah and Janet Owusu on December 5, 1983, but she moved with her mother to Ghana at the age of 10 in 1993.
She rose to stardom after she starred as Enyonam Blagogee in the popular television series, “Things We Do For Love” with the likes of Majid Michel, Adjetey Anang and others.

In 2007, Jackie Appiah won “Best Supporting Actress” and “Best Actress Leading Role” in the movies “Beyoncé ─ The President’s daughter” and “The Perfect Picture” respectively at the 3rd and 6th African Movie Academy Awards.
She then went ahead and won “Best Actress” and “Best Ghanaian Actress” in the movie “4Plays” at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards and City People Awards.
Jackie Appiah in 2011 got two nominations at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards and Nigerian Entertainment Awards for the movie “Reason to kill” and won in the category “Pan African Actress of The Year” and losing in the category “Best Actress Leading Role (English)”.
In 2012, she won two awards in the categories, “Performing Arts” and “Best Actress” for the movie “Groom’s Bride” at the Ghana National Youth Achievers Awards and African Women of Worth Awards respectively and got nominated in the category “Best Actress Leading Role” at the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards for the same movie, “Groom’s Bride”.
In 2013, Jackie Appiah set an enviable record by winning six awards at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Ghana Movie Awards, NAFCA, Pyprus Magazine Screen Actors Awards, The F.A.C.E List Awards (USA).
She won in the categories; “Best Actress In Drama” for the movie, “The Perfect Picture”, “Best Actress Leading Role” and “Glitz Magazine Favourite Actress” for the movie “Cheaters”. “Best Diaspora Actress”, “Best International Actress”, “Achievements in Africa Entertainment” for the movie “Turning Point”.
Jackie Appiah got nominated in three categories; “Best Actress Comedy Role” at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for the movie “Cheaters”, “Best Actress Lead Role” and “Favourite Actress” at the 2014 Ghana Movie Awards for the movie “Sisters At War”.
In 2015, she was nominated for “Best Comedy Actress” and “Favourite Actress” in the movie “A letter from Adam” at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice and 2015 Ghana Movie Awards.
Jackie Appiah is one of the few Ghanaian actresses who can boast of numerous properties and luxurious cars costing millions of Ghana Cedis.
She currently owns luxurious cars such as Mercedes G5 AMG costing GHC698,000, a BMW X1 SUV worth GHC165,800, Toyota Land Cruiser estimated to cost GHC412,200, A Range Rover Sport car worth GHC327,300, Maserati Quattroporte costing a whopping GHC1.2 million and Vintage vehicle estimated to cost GHC107,363. Jackie Appiah also owns a multi-million mansion.
Aside from owning expensive cars and mansion, she is also the brand ambassador for Pan-Africa Hair Growth.
Jackie Appiah got married to Peter Agyemang in 2005 but got divorced 3 years after the marriage. They have a son called Damien.
Reasons behind their divorce are still not known by the public but in the wake of their divorce, it was rumoured that the couple disagreed on many things hence divorce became the only option.
Jackie Appiah is the most followed Ghanaian actress on social media with 6 million followers on Instagram and 1.9 million followers on Facebook.
Her huge following has been attributed to her works over the years as well as her expensive travels around the world and posting of beautiful photos on social media.
