Body shaming is one of the many factors that either lead one into depression or forces the person to get in shape but is it reasonable for a company to body shame someone because of his or size?
Di Asa the popular TV program for plus women which is owned by Atinka Media has gained a lot of followers and is currently on the top 5 hottest programs in Ghana.
“DI ASA” winner and the two runner ups were promised of a travel package to Dubai and other amazing prices as well but the news going on is that only the runner ups were allowed by emirates to board the plane, The winner popular known as PM was kicked out of the plane with her bags all because she is fat.
The airline which is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the government of Dubai’s Investment Corporation of Dubai has no written laws about rejecting fat people on their planes but they, however, kicked the “Di Asa” winner out with no reason but her weight.
Atinka Media is yet to settle or find another means of honouring their end of the deal as PM has already left for home crying in tears.
Should PM decide to sue, which would be the right company to sue…Atinka or Emirates?
And from Clement; maybe Emirates Airlines were scared her body size could forcibly land the plane in the sea or even crash it but that’s bad and Emirates as a reputable airline should come out clear on the matter.
