Thank God Ghana’s borders are opened on September 1, 2020, and if this tweet by Efia Odo is anything to go by, then in the coming months, she will be going back to the United States to work and make some real money after failing to make it in Ghana with her celebrity status.
A few days ago, Efia Odo grabbed the headlines after she tweeted that McDonald’s employees in the United States make more money than Ghanaian celebrities.
Not-so-funny comedian, DKB, came hard at her and blamed her joblessness on her offensive dressing but Efia Odo never let it slide as she clapped back at him and disclosed that DKB is hating her because she refused to give American comedian, Michael Blankson’s contact number to him.
Apparently, Efia Odo thought that money grows on trees for Ghanaian celebrities until the reality kicked her in the butts.
Efia Odo should have stayed in the United States, worked for McDonald’s and Starbucks, and made real money before planning on migrating to Ghana to chase fame.
Fame in Ghana doesn’t necessarily put money in the pockets of celebrities and if clueless Efia Odo had known this earlier, she wouldn’t have dared to step a foot in Ghana to chase after fame.
Now that the reality has kicked her hard in the butts, she is likely to escape the money-less Ghanaian entertainment industry, strip herself of the celebrity tag, and move to work in the United States for real money.
In a tweet, she disclosed, “The airport is opened, I can finally file an application online for employment at McDonalds. I’ll try Starbucks too, free caramel Frappuccinos for me”.
