Drake after forging his images in Vogue magazine to promote his controversial Her Loss album with 21 Savage says since the release of his 2018 album Scorpion, Billboard has rigged the charts for him not to gain such success ever again but his goal is long-term, not short term hence he is unfazed.
Truth is, Drake is bothered, he has been doing a whole lot of crazy sh-ts to promote his current album including countless diss songs to fellow celebs, faking interviews, and finally forging his and 21 Savages’ images onto the cover of Vogue magazine to faux Vogue’s support for the album.
It backfired real bad and Drake got sued.
Media Take Out Reports;
Drake claims that after the success of his album Scorpion, Billboard fixed its charting system to make it fairer for his competition.
“I mean, at the end of the day, ever since we were dunning off the charts from Scorpion, they fixed the charts anyway. So it is what it is. You know, they had to give other people a fair shot,” he told DJ Akademiks and 21 Savage. “We’ll do what we do. It’s more about the feeling, the momentum; it’s not about how long it stays.”
Drake is not the first rapper to claim Billboard’s system is rigged. Tekashi 6ix9ine made similar claims when he was released from prison.
“I want the world to know Billboard is a lie. You can buy No.1s on Billboard,” he said in 2020. “Billboard illegally disqualified 20m streams so [GOOBA] can drop down and the people who bought the No.1, which was Stuck With U, can go to No.1. ”
Well, Billboard did do some changes after Drake’s Scorpion album. Was it to hurt Drake specifically or he is not doing well lately?
