DJ Akademiks Slams J Cole, Drake, And Kendrick Lamar For Ditching Black Media Platforms For White-owned Ones After They Hit Mainstream

After J. Cole‘s interview with ESPN, where he mentioned that he started smoking at age 6, went viral, DJ Akademiks is blasting the rapper, along with his fellow rappers like Drake and Kendrick Lamar, for ditching black podcasts once they made it mainstream for Good Morning America, ESPN, and other white-owned channels.

Akademiks says these rappers feel more uppish than hip-hop culture once they use them to make it big. Although Akademiks claims he doesn’t care if J. Cole and his colleagues accept his interview, he seemed resentful towards the rappers he spoke of. In fact, he made it clear that he detests them.

Akademiks went off on a rant against big rap celebrities Drake, J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar for turning their backs on Hip Hop media once they made it big.

“Ain’t nobody gonna say it but I’m gonna say it. Yo J. Cole and the rest of y’all big rappers no wonder y’all get sh-tted on by Hip Hop outlets man. Y’all get so big in the game, they use the culture and they use all these blogs, not saying you need to like, I don’t care if they do an interview with me, but I know a lot of journalists in the game and they won’t speak up and a lot of ’em still really hope to get an interview. I say f—k all these n-ggas,” he said on Twitch.

J. Cole recently sat down for an interview with Bob Myers on ESPN

He continued, “Big Ak made it on his own. F-ck these n-ggas in the interview. I just look at n-ggas like J. Cole when I see you doing some sh-t on ESPN but you wont do an interview with a n-gga in the culture, you won’t hop on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, you won’t hop on motherf-cking Drink Champs, you won’t be with Joe Budden or something like that. I look at it as some weird sh-t.”

Is Akademik’s observation genius, or is he overreacting as always?
