Cardi B has severally recounted how difficult the death of Migos rapper, 28-year-old Takeoff was on her husband, Offset. She took her time to reveal the exact moment Offset heard of the tragic news and according to her, it was intense.
Cardi says they were lying in bed after a failed party plan when both of their phones kept ringing until Offset picked up and started screaming in tears. Cardi says her husband had a moment of a hissy fit and threw items all over their home while wailing about how unfair his death was.
The 31-year-old continues to mourn his cousin even months after his murder and constantly mentioned how depressing the tragic incident has been for him. Reportedly, Offset and Quavo were not in constant communication before his demise due to a misunderstanding between Quavo and Offset. But that did not make the pain less because of their enviable bond and previous history together.

Cardi B sat down for an interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked for his show on REVOLT. While speaking to Lee, Cardi B candidly detailed Offset’s response to the loss of Takeoff.
Cardi went on to say, “We was in bed. We was going to go to La La’s party in New York, and my daughter threw up all over my costume… We just fell asleep, and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing, mine kept ringing.” The rapper continued, “Offset picked up the phone, and he’s just like ‘No!’ screaming [over and over].” Cardi asked Offset what was up, with the Migos rapper responding, “Takeoff is dead.”
From there, Cardi says Offset threw things, vomited, and ran around their home in disbelief, saying, “It was terrible. Everything was so triggering.” Listen above.
It was reported that Quavo and Offset were planning to reconcile to keep the memory of Takeoff alive through music, but that has not been confirmed yet.
