The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in his 6th address to the Nation on measures taken to fight against coronavirus has extended the lockdown to one more week starting from Monday, April 13, 2020.
The decision to extend the lockdown by one week was made as a result of the “increasing positive cases which have totalled 378 with 6 deaths, the majority of the infections being community spread”.
No new regions were included in the lockdown. The President urged all Ghanaians to abide by the lockdown order to help prevent the spread of the virus.
