One of Ghana’s veteran Journalists, Mike Adjei, has sadly died of coronavirus. News of his death was confirmed by one of his grandson’s, Alec Quaye, on Twitter.
Alec Quaye tweeted; “i recently lost my grandpa to Covid19. MIKE ADJEI. the 1st man to tell me i’m great. 1st man to put a book in my hand & inspire me to write. one of the brave few in his generation to stand up to tyranny. you taught me courage.
rest well warrior!

Here is a brief history about the late Mike Adejei;
“Mike Adjei was a journalist during the Rawlings’ Military regime. He fled Ghana when his life came under threat for being anti-Rawlings.
He is also famous for his book, Death and Pain, Rawlings’ Ghana.
When John Agyekum Kufuor assumed power in the year 2000, Mike Adjei returned from exile and worked as the Public Relations Officer in the office of the President”.
