Azealia was to perform in Brisbane and Melbourne last week but both shows got canceled in the last hours due to visa issues and she was deemed “mysterious.” According to Banks, these behaviors are predominant in the city because the natives are whites and she happens to be a black artist so to hell with Australia because she is done.
Azealia claims in addition to slave-like contracts and visa requirements, natives also behave unrulily and at her previous concerts, peeps threw sh-t and soda bottles at her which nearly hit her in the face. (Eeew).

Sadly, it seems that this time is no different, with the singer taking to Instagram to point out that she is having an awful time on her current 2023 Australian tour, declaring that “this place makes me utterly miserable”.
The ‘212’ rapper was slated to play in Brisbane and Melbourne last week, but both shows were cancelled at the eleventh hour after Banks pulled out on the grounds of mysterious “visa issues”.

While Banks later confirmed the rescheduling of her cancelled Melbourne performance, the rapper has ruled out setting foot in the city of Brisbane ever again, citing prior unruly crowd behaviour which saw her narrowly avoid being hit by a projectile thrown by a crowd member.
“Last time I was in Brisbane and y’all threw shit on the stage and damn near almost fucking hit me in the face with a fucking bottle of soda or whatever that shit was,” Banks declared in a video.
“That was the most racist, most demoralising experience of my fucking life.”
Banks’ career has been affected by transphobic, homophobic, and racist comments made by the singer in both in-person interviews and across social media. Combined with famously incendiary live performances – resulting in the rapper routinely cancelling performances mid-set, the rapper occupies a strange place in the contemporary RNB scene.
However, Australia is also a notoriously shitty place to perform for mainstream artist of colour, as domestic audiences routinely struggle to comprehend why it’s inappropriate to scream the ‘N’ word with Kendrick Lamar while even homegrown acts like OneFour face sophisticated Federal task forces actively designed to quash their success.
“After this run this will be my very last time touring Australia,” Banks declared.
“This place makes me utterly miserable and I’m too black and beautiful to have a bunch of white people in my face playing with me over their WEAK ASS CURRENCY.”
